Affiliated Foods Midwest

Located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Affiliated Foods Midwest (AFM) is a Member-Owned cooperative that serves independent grocers throughout a 16-state area.

AFM’s key goal for their facility renovation was to leverage the design of the physical space to attract and retain top talent. They felt strongly that a modern, energizing, innovative work environment would help them build an elite workforce and ultimately become a leader in their industry.

The first step was to develop a range of settings that support varying work modes, styles, levels of collaboration and technology needs. A blend of formal and informal collaborative zones accommodate both seated and standing-height postures, giving employees the freedom to choose where they work best. A café space central to the work area supports team work as well as social interaction, relaxation and rejuvenation. Finally, integrated technology makes collaboration and teamwork seamless.
